Intravascular polarization sensitive optical coherence tomography

Abstract

Polarization measurements through a catheter have been limited by system induced polarization distortions. A new reconstruction strategy overcame these limitations, enabling intravascular polarimetry and offering valuable insight into the morphology of atherosclerotic plaques.
