Abstract
This communication demonstrates a novel application of an endoscopic fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) system to the intraoperative diagnosis of the brain tumor glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) and head and neck tumor squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in human patients. Current results show the potential of FLIM for delineation of both tumor types from surrounding normal tissue in surgical setting.
