Sampling of tissue volume by frequency-domain photon migration

Abstract

Frequency-domain Monte Carlo simulations are performed to study how amplitude and phase measurements, at various frequencies and source-detector separations, can sample different tissue volumes. Homogeneous and heterogeneous tissues are investigated.
