Generation of broadband mid-infrared femtosecond pulses with periodically-poled lithium niobate

Abstract

We have generated the broadband mid-infrared femtosecond pulses with optical parametric processes in periodically-poled lithium niobate. The pulses of 66 fs duration and 700 nm bandwidth are generated at the center wavelength of 3400 nm.
