Cooperative Enhancement of Two-Photon Absorption in Dendrimers with Inter-Branch Conjugation

Abstract

We present, for the first time, direct evidence of strong cooperative enhancement of two-photon absorption in organic dendrimers. For planar, conjugated structure maximum two-photon cross section increases as N2, where N is the number of constituent chromophores.
