Abstract

Uncooled operation for a FP laser is presented. More than 100-degree temperature operation range was achieved for 10km/2.5Gb/s. The lasers were fabricated using Al/Zn-free InAsP/InP design for good reliability. Frequency response of 7GHz at -25°C and 5.2GHz at 85°C was measured for TO56 can package.
