Three-dimensional imaging with arrays of Geiger-mode avalanche photodiodes*

Abstract

We report 32×32 focal plane arrays comprising silicon Geiger-mode single-photon-sensitive photodiodes integrated with high-speed CMOS digital timing circuitry, and present three-dimensional imagery obtained from flash laser radar systems using these focal planes.
