Cavity ring-down spectroscopy on trace-gases with a compact mid-IR difference frequency laser system

Abstract

We present first cavity ring-down measurements in the 3 - 4 µm region using a compact pulsed difference-frequency laser source. As an example, methane measurements in ambient laboratory air are discussed. Detect.ion limits in the sub-ppm range are currently achieved.
