Abstract

We investigate the transmission spectra in a single-mode fiber excited by two acoustic waves with orthogonal perturbations using a novel composite piezoelectric transducer. Polarization-dependent spectra are observed due to coherent acousto-optic coupling between core-to-cladding modes.
