Nanometer sensivity of a femtosecond optical parametric ring oscillator

Abstract

Fluctuation of the beat note from a ring optical parametric oscillator reflects fluctuations of the pump spot in nanometer range. This suggests a design with intracavity pumping that leads to a gyro without dead band.
