Relativistic Rescattering Effects in Atoms and Ions in Ultra-intense Fields

Abstract

Strong field laser photoionization measurements of neon at 1017 W/cm2 reveal a suppression of non-sequential ionization. The decrease is consistent with a rescattering model, which includes the laser magnetic field and e-2e inelastic collision cross-sections.
