Multi-wavelength switchable comb filter based on acousto-optic interaction in superstructure fiber gratings

Abstract

We have experimentally demonstrated the superstructure fiber gratings can be used for obtaining a multi-wavelength switchable comb filter by both transverse flexural and longitudinal acoustic waves simultaneously for providing index-acoustic amplitude and grating-phase modulation respectively.
