Optically Pumped Liquid Oxygen Jet Waveguides for Production of Singlet Delta Oxygen

Abstract

Thin, flat, stable liquid oxygen jets have been created for use as optical indexed planar waveguides. These waveguides are pumped at 1067nm with 100W Yb fiber lasers producing number densities ~6.5×1020#/cm3 for ~75MW/cm2 pump intensities.
