Measuring spectral linewidth of highly-coherent laser using optical injection

Abstract

A new method using optical injection is proposed to measure spectral linewidth of coherent single mode lasers. Theoretical model and experimental measurement of a 50 kHz full width half maximum linewidth fiber laser are presented.
