Passive all-optical phase-locking of two independently tunable femtosecond Ti:sapphire lasers

Abstract

One shared frequency comb is established between two synchronized femtosecond Ti:sapphire lasers. The locking of the carrier-envelope offset phase relies on cross phase modulation in the gain medium and is maintained over minutes without external stabilization.
