Novel high-gain / broadband glasses for Raman gain applications

Abstract

Different glass families have been evaluated for their Raman gain performance. Raman cross-section calculations and Raman gain coefficient estimations are reported. The estimated and experimentally measured Raman gain coefficients for bulk samples show excellent agreement.
