Abstract

We investigate the recording and optical fixing dynamics of UV-light-gating two-color photorefractive holograms formed in Mg-doped near-stoichiometric LiNbO3. Shallow and multiple deep centers leading to complementary holograms are responsible for the two-color photorefractive effect.
