Measurement of nonlinear index changes in an InGaAsP/InP waveguide using an optical loop mirror interferometer

Abstract

We demonstrate the measurement of intensity-dependent refractive index changes in InGaAsP waveguides with 4ps pump pulses below the bandgap using an optical loop mirror interferometer. Also the pump induced absorption change is reported.
