Mutual Information as a Performance Measure for Fluorescence Optical Diffusion Tomography

Abstract

Mutual information is used to measure performance in fluorescence optical diffusion tomography. By incorporating statistical models of the unknown image, it is shown that multiple modulation frequencies can improve reconstruction quality in certain problems.
