Measurement of fifth- and seventh-order susceptibilities of glasses using two-beam coupling

Abstract

Two-beam coupling is used to determine higher-order nonlinearities of several glasses with a range of absorption edges. We observe evidence of fifth-order and present the first observation of seventh-order susceptibilities in glasses.
