Novel Multisectional Bending Polymeric Waveguide Polarizer

Abstract

Based on coherent-coupling effect, a novel multisectional bending waveguide polarizer is demonstrated. The polarizer consists of a polymer waveguide with a birefringent polyimide buried in it. The simulated polarization extinction ratio is 42.6 dB/mm.
