Classification of Modes in Multi-Moded Photonic Crystal Microcavities

Abstract

Resonant modes in multi-moded photonic crystal cavities are experimentally characterized and we obtain excellent agreement between these observations and predictions based on a combination of finite-difference time-domain simulations, group theory, and Green’s functions.
