Optical generation of a highly stable millimeter wave by heterodyning of two phase-locked diode lasers with an optical comb generator

Abstract

An optically-generated high-stable millimeter-wave synthesizer was realized for a local oscillator of a large mm/sub-mm phased-array telescope. The spectral purity of mm signal was evaluated up to 100 GHz.
