Analysis of compressed 3.4 fs-optical pulse based on deviation from its Fourier-transform-limited pulse using Wigner distribution function

Abstract

Time-frequency analysis of monocycle-region optical pulses was performed using the Wigner distribution function. The difference between the normalized Wigner distribution functions for a measured pulse and its Fourier-transform-limited pulse provides detailed information of their deviations.
