Spatial and temporal coherence characterization of a smoothed laser beam

Abstract

We present a new method for measuring coherence characteristics of the speckles obtained with a smoothed laser. This technique allows us to measure both spatial transverse and temporal characteristics, of hot spots by spatial autocorrelation.
