Abstract

Luminous efficacies and color rendering capabilities of illumination sources based on tri- and tetra-chromatic light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are investigated. Tri-chromatic sources with a CRI of 84 and a luminous efficiency of 32 lm/W are demonstrated.
