Abstract

With the backward injection of sub-bandgap-wavelength single-mode DFB laser diode, the build-up dynamics of a 5-GHz repetitive, < 12-ps and 10.5-mW harmonic-mode-locked semiconductor optical amplifier fiber laser induced by purely sinusoidal cross-gain-modulation effect are analyzed.
