High speed CCIG laser with tailored modulation transfer functions

Abstract

The modulation transfer function can be changed from broadband to high frequency narrow band by using a coupled cavity injection grating (CCIG) laser design. Higher order photon-photon resonances are utilized to tailor the modulation function.
