Microring Resonators for Biochemical Sensing

Abstract

A vertically coupled glass microring resonator biosensor is introduced with Q~12000. We demonstrated sensitivity to refractive index change in medium and reproducibility. Theoretical refractive index sensitivity from flow experiments is determined to be 2×10−5.
