All-Solid-State, Compact, and Coherent Blue Source Producing 118 mW at 440 nm by Intracavity-Frequency-Tripling Nd:YAG Laser Beam

Abstract

Coherent blue light is efficiently generated based on a novel scheme, i.e. intracavity frequency tripling by using partly-periodically-poled KTiOPO4. An average power of 118 mW for the blue light is produced for a 10-W pump.
