Novel Ring Cavity Resonators Incorporating Total Internal Reflection Mirrors and Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers

Abstract

We report fabrication and measurements on novel ring resonators with the multimode interference couplers, total internal reflection mirrors and semiconductor optical amplifiers. Free spectral range and on-off ratio are 244 GHz and 13 dB respectively.
