Polarization Memory in the Backscattering of Light from a Turbid Medium

Abstract

Time-resolved backscattering profiles of circularly and linearly polarized light were measured. The experimentally observed polarization memory effect is used to enhance the image contrast for a target inside large particle suspensions.
