Profilometry using a frequency-shifted feedback laser

Abstract

A frequency-shifted feedback laser is used as chirped light source for optical profilometry based on optical frequency-domain reflectometry. Measurement ranges of 1m and accuracies better than 50µm have been demonstrated.
