Tunable high repetition rate pulse trains by Talbot self-imaging and cross phase modulation

Abstract

We report generation of a constant phase ultrafast pulse train with tunable wavelength and adjustable repetition rate, using the Talbot effect in a tunable dispersion compensator followed by cross-phase modulation and spectral filtering.
