1.2 Degree Narrow Divergence Intense Directional Lasing From Extremely Deformed Non-circular Micro-ring Cavities

Abstract

Ultra-narrow divergence directional lasing with high Q factor was observed from a peanut-shaped ring cavity. The 1.2 degree divergence was one order less than the best published results. Emission direction was also controllable.
