Generation and detection of terahertz pulses in a birefringent organic crystal

Abstract

We demonstrate how ultrashort terahertz pulses are coherently measured in an organic birefringent crystal by terahertz-induced lensing. Velocity-matching schemes for several wavelengths of the optical source and probe light pulses are presented.
