Practical Double Plasma-Mirror Pulse Cleaner for High-Intensity Femtosecond Laser-Plasma Harmonics

Abstract

A practical double plasma-mirror built into a f = 10 m null telescope has been added as a standard feature of a 50fs 3J laser system for ultraintense laser-matter interaction. Contrast > 1010 is obtained, maintaining excellent focusability.
