Abstract

An acousto-optical microfluidic flow cytometer featuring femtoliter fluid-displacement was demonstrated with cellular sorting efficiencies at upwards of 99% at 5kHz frequency actuation. Simulation and validation was performed using Reynolds Stress Model for turbulent particle flows.
