Abstract

Femtosecond laser micromachined multi-orifice two-dimensional silicon-nitride membrane arrays are reported to generate picoliter droplets. These devices use higher-order resonance ejection mechanisms, increase the flow-rate per membrane and can eject from various locations on a membrane.
