Cascaded integrated photonic AND gates based on GaAs ring resonators

Abstract

Cascade of two photonic AND gates integrated on one chip was realized using symmetric GaAs microrings. Successive switching of an input signal by the two gates was achieved, demonstrating multi-stage operation of microring logic circuits.
