Abstract

This paper presents the first demonstration of phase matching in Silicon waveguides. Phase matching is achieved by canceling intrinsic waveguide dispersion by stress-induced tuning of birefringence. 12dB enhancement in CARS wavelength conversion efficiency is observed.
