Low Pulsewidth and Low Timing Jitter of Passively Mode-Locked 1.3 μm Quantum-Dot Lasers

Abstract

We have measured pulse width and timing jitter of passively mode-locked two-section InAs quantum-dot lasers emitting at 1310 nm in different operating conditions and identified two different mode-locked regions with robust short pulses and low timing jitter.
