Mid-infrared laser sensor for active process control in glass furnaces

Abstract

Real-time measurements of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and nitrogen monoxide are performed with DFB laser diodes and a quantum cascade laser, respectively, in the near- and mid-infrared spectral region inside an industrial glass furnace.
