Polarization transfer from photon to nuclear spin through electron spin with zero g-factor quantum well

Abstract

We demonstrate photon-spin polarization transfer. g-factor plays a key role in this transfer process. We obtained g~0 in GaAs/AlGaAs system, which showed anomalous phenomena suggesting population transfer from photons to nuclear spins through electron spins.
