Pulsed pumping of a 2.3μm InGaAsSb Semiconductor Disk Laser

Abstract

~1.7W output power at 2.3μm is demonstrated from a semiconductor disk laser pumped by a 905nm high-power pulsed semiconductor laser. The thermal characteristics and wavelength shift are studied over the 100-200ns pump pulse.
