Remote Detection of Breath CO2 with Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy

Abstract

Remote detection of vital signs is useful in various military and security scenarios. We describe a sensor measuring CO2 in exhaled breath to 35 meters using an eye-safe tunable diode laser, for standoff respiration detection.
