Abstract

A novel hollow-core PCF acetylene-cell fabrication technique based on heliumdiffusion through silica is reported. The gas cell combines low insertion loss (1.8 dB) and low pressure (0.001 mbar). Electromagnetically induced transparency was used to determine the final acetylene-pressure.
