Enhanced Optical Trapping through Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance of Au Nanoparticle Array

Abstract

We utilize localized surface plasmon resonance excited on an Au nanoparticle array for optical trapping. The radiation field from the resonant oscillating dipoles has large gradient, which results in dielectrophoretic force with lower optical intensity than conventional optical tweezers.
