Intense THz Supercontinuum Generation in Femtosecond Laser-Gas Interactions

Abstract

Intense coherent THz radiation from two-color laser interactions with various gas species is examined. Peak THz energy of >4.5 µJ per pulse with a bandwidth in excess of 70 THz is routinely produced.
