Fiber Networks for Ultrastable Frequency Standards and Timing Distribution

Abstract

Optical fiber networks employing active phase noise cancellation are discussed. Instabilities below 10<sup>-17</sup>at 1-s and timing jitter below 0.08 fs (10-mHz to 10-MHz) are achieved for a 10-km-scale urban link. Article not available.
